The 33rd season of the Woking & District Sports Quiz League is now in the record books. Both Division 1 and Division 2 did a very good impression of Max Verstappen with the winners racing off into the sunset and winning by a very large margin.
In the top division Northwood Town won all 13 of their matches, with St. Johns Wood Strollers runners up, and London Calling bringing up the rear, punctured by the retirement of their long serving quiz veteran Matt Behan. Likewise, Kingsmeadow won the 2nd Division crown winning 12 of the 13 matches, with Boxgrove Scorpions runners up and Old West Suttonians making up the podium in third.

The two Buzzer Cup competitions were won by Northwood Town and Kingsmeadow, with the 'Wood' beating London Calling in the Buzzer Cup Final and the 'Meadow' defeating Northwood in the Football Buzzer Cup showpiece. The end of season Woodbridge Shield was shared by Kingsmeadow and Northwood Town after both tied on 131 points.

In the individual events congratulations to John 'Rafa Nadal' Hayes who won the Division 1 singles again, his 14th title. In contrast, the Division 2 singles title was won for the 1st time by Simon Woodbridge. Likewise, Tim Wescott of St. Johns Wood Strollers won his maiden Dave Smith Cup title, seeing off fellow 'Strollers' Steven Lynch (2nd) and Albert Sanders (3rd). Well done Tim, great to see a new winner on the trophy.
This season also included a pre-season warm up quiz which was won by Albert's Einsteins consisting of Albert Sanders, Pete Gagehan & John 'Malbec' Lloyd. Finally, The Geoff Richards Trophy for the best quiz of the season was awarded to London Calling with an average score of 7.6.
